Design and Lead
Dynamic and committed professional possessing a unique blend of hands-on design execution and cross-functional team mentorship.

Beginning my design Odyssey in 1998
I look back at 1998 to when my design career began, back when Amazon had their classic tabbed navigation. My first job required me to work in 640x480 resolution using a 256-color palette. Witnessing the evolution of design and technology working together since then has made those first experiences all the more memorable and has significantly contributed to my role as a design leader.

This extensive journey has equipped me with a deep understanding of the foundational principles of design, as well as the ability to adapt and innovate in response to emerging technologies. Navigating the challenges of evolving design tools, user expectations, and industry standards has positioned me as a seasoned professional.
My years of experience being part of design team has served as a rich resource for helping to craft my understanding of the needs and motivations of designers to help them succeed both personally and within an organization. Additionally, my longevity in the field fosters a sense of trust and credibility among my design colleagues, providing the opportunity to inspire and mentor.

Active engagement in design work while also taking on a mentoring and leadership role defines me as a driver of both the craft of design and the personal development and organizational success of others.
Imagination
"What if?" is powerful. It challenges assumptions and allows imagination and innovation. This type of thinking should become an extension of an organization's identity, a reflection of the teams behind it, and a business's commitment towards it.
Focus
Utilizing my skillset that spans all facets of process: research, concept, hands-on, technical feasibility and formal presentation. Most importantly, it's collaboration and advisement to build and elevate connections with users.
Concept
Discover, workshop, sketch. They all produce the building blocks that help construct the foundation of an experience. How can an experience act as a companion to the user and create a collaborative relationship with target audiences?
Challenges
From complex to simple. Experiences driven by data crafted to break the mold of what industries are doing today. It's not just about innovation; it's pushing to find unique answers and the willingness to allow design to drive those solutions.
Impact
A product distinguishes itself from the competition through the uniqueness and simplicity of its design, and the connection it makes with people. This impact drives success and builds credibility.
Where ideas are born.
The ideas that influence and transcend time all began with the simplest form of collaboration: a determined team pouring their minds onto a whiteboard. However, the true essence is storytelling beginning with understanding the problem customers/users face or where a business isn't connecting with its audience, identifying the opportunity and proposing a solution.

Bringing design and product together.
Areas of an organization have valuable perspectives and inputs on measurements for success. Engaging cross-functional teams on how design operates, its practices, methodologies and impact on their interests, is vital to build trust with key stakeholders.
A thoughtful design experience isn't just made for the sake of making. It weaves together multiple business areas, acknowledging their needs and connecting them seamlessly. Design will always push to achieve its desired goal, while at the same time understands the importance of listening and learning even when its intentions are challenged.
